Reserve a trade name

An electronic service provided by the Ministry of Commerce that enables customers to submit a trade name reservation request and have it approved by a relevant employee without having to visit the Ministry building.

Requirements:

• The applicant must not be a government employee.
• The applicant must be over 18 years old.
• The applicant must have an active account on Absher. (You can request registration on Absher from here .)

Trade name requirements:

1. The trade name of the activity does not contain the name of a country.
2. The applicant must not work for any government agency or institution.
3. The trade name does not contain a family name.
4. The trade name must be non-Arabic or not contain any meaning.
5. The trade name must not contain the word “design,” “engineer,” or the like.
6. The trade name to be reserved must not be similar to another trade name that has been previously reserved, whether in singular or plural form.
7. Activities do not need to be added when reserving a trade name.
8. It is also prohibited to write general words such as Kingdom, Two Holy Mosques, Islam, Medina, or Mecca in the trade name of the establishment.
9. It is prohibited to use the word King, Prince, Lady, Sheikh, or titles in the trade name.
