What is the Reef program?

A non-refundable financial support program from the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, directed only to owners of existing rural projects who are Saudi citizens and holders of a mobility card, male or female.

It allows beneficiaries of the Sustainable Rural Agricultural Development Program (REEF) to register and submit their data to obtain financial support that contributes to the development of their agricultural activities in the various sectors targeted by the program.

Who is eligible for support?

Only owners of existing rural projects who are Saudi citizens and holders of the mobility card (male or female), who meet all the conditions, and who have all the required licenses to apply, as it is not possible to apply without having all the required licenses.

Application requirements:

• To support beekeepers: beekeeper license, apiary license, training certificate, national address for the apiary location.
• For agricultural support: The agricultural register shows the cultivated product, matching the product for which support is required, and a national address for the farm's location.
• To support productive families: A freelance work document suitable for the practitioner’s activity that you can request from here , a national address for the location of the activity, in addition to the licenses necessary for the practitioner’s activity (they vary from one activity to another), and you can inquire about them before applying from here.

General conditions :

• The applicant must be a Saudi national (male or female), or a holder of a mobility card (male or female).
• The applicant must be directly responsible for his duties, and must be a resident of the administrative area covered by the support.
• The applicant must not hold any position in the public or private sector.
• The applicant must be at least 21 years old.
• A retiree is allowed to apply if all the conditions are met.
• The applicant’s total monthly income should not exceed (9,000) riyals (excluding employees).
• The total amount of direct support provided should not exceed (54,000) riyals annually for all programs.
• The total number of direct support programs benefited from should not exceed three programs.
• To provide proof of eligibility to conduct activities, you can inquire about the required proofs here.
• Compliance with all health and technical requirements adopted by the program.
• The applicant must have an active bank account in his name.
• Complete your personal and technical data by registering on the dedicated electronic platform.
• The support request was submitted on the electronic platform after fulfilling the conditions.
• The duration and value of the support are linked to the ceiling set for each sector.

• Value-added support cannot be used more than once.
• Agricultural/beekeeper support cannot be used more than once per year.
• We do not provide feasibility studies, nor do we enter random/fake data.

• The service does not include providing missing requirements, and providing them with us is only through official channels and at an additional fee.
• We do not provide a lease agreement or any other documents to apply for support.
• Not all family-run businesses are supported by Reef, for example, cooking and confectionery activities are not supported by Reef.
