Membership in the Saudi Contractors Authority is a prerequisite for obtaining a license to practice the profession from the Ministry of Commerce, for participating in government and private projects, and for benefiting from the Authority’s many services, such as health insurance, training, financing, marketing, and others. Membership also grants the contractor a set of benefits and rights, such as voting in board of directors elections, obtaining certificates and awards of appreciation, and joining specialized committees and work teams.

Membership in the Saudi Contractors Authority is classified into three categories: individual membership, institutional membership, and honorary membership. Each category has its own terms and conditions. The contractor must choose the category that suits his activity, size and ambitions. The contractor must also renew his membership at least 30 days before it expires, otherwise he will lose all benefits and rights associated with membership.
